Game Artwork - Wario Master of Disguise.
This is one of the areas from the game known as Wario Master of Disguise from Nintendo DS. The area Itself is based on episode 2 inside the ship’s cargo bay where Thief Wario confronts Count Cannoli in his flying mech stopping the player to reach one of the Wishstone pieces!
At the beginning I was planning to make the same Environment when you are supposed to fight the boss battle. But I changed the environment into the Cargo bay instead as I thought The Cargo bay was a more interesting area to make this artwork in.
When making the Mech Itself, I noticed that I made It too small for the scale of this artwork. So I made It bigger by making each part of the Mech in separate layers.
The Eye Icon at the corner is a hint system in the game for letting the player know what to do next. So basically you would need to draw on the touch screen to make this blue line appear on the level Itself to make the correct symbol for the right hint.
As I was working on the background, I noticed that my art name together with the health bar and key points in the background took away a lot of the view, which is why I put my name at the button later on.
As for the background and Characters, I tried to add as much shading I could do for the detailing and noise.
The Sprite to the left is my Version of Wario.
The Sprite to the Right is the Sprite Used in the game of Wario.
I did use two References of the Sprites used in the game when making this Game Artwork.
As one last thing, I wanted to show how the background looks without the UI, Player Character or Enemies.
